I recently heard one our Prayer Partners in one of our Midnight Prayer Sessions state these words and it really resounded with me -
"Many will accept Jesus Christ as Saviour but not Lord" Minister Mark Lior Thomas.
I pose the question to you today - Is Jesus Christ Lord of your life?
I remember coming to Christ at 17 years old accepting Jesus Christ as Saviour but still living how I felt, how I wanted, living the same old way. God was so faithful though because during my season of being a carnal minded Christian, whenever I prayed for a way out of my situations or for a miracle, God answered my prayer.
There was a time though where I walked through some situations that only God could have taken me through, that was where I came to the end of myself, found the depth of God's love for me and surrendered all to him.
Jesus Christ now became Lord of my life - governing my actions and ways.
Allowing God to lead and guide me and seeking his Kingdom first became my priority.
Since then I have been greatly challenged
But even more TRIUMPHANT and VICTORIOUS. I now know what it means to be an OVERCOMER and MORE THAN A CONQUEROR.
Amen
When Jesus becomes Lord of your life here is how you will live:
We live, move and breathe IN HIM. Acts 17:28 - 30 . 28 For in Him we live and move and exist [that is, in Him we actually have our being], as even some of [f]your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’ 29 So then, being God’s children, we should not think that the Divine Nature (deity) is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination or skill of man. 30 Therefore God overlooked and disregarded the former ages of ignorance; but now He commands all people everywhere to repent [that is, to change their old way of thinking, to regret their past sins, and to seek God’s purpose for their lives]
We LIVE IN PURPOSE, ON PURPOSE. All for God’s glory 1 Corinthians 10:31
So then, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of [our great] God
We seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness. Matthew 6:33 But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.
We live for not only ourselves but for the good of mankind Phillipians 2:1 - 5 1Therefore if there is any encouragement and comfort in Christ [as there certainly is in abundance], if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship [that we share] in the Spirit, if [there is] any [great depth of] affection and compassion, 2 make my joy complete by being of the same mind, having the same [a]love [toward one another], knit together in spirit, intent on one purpose [and living a life that reflects your faith and spreads the gospel—the good news regarding salvation through faith in Christ]. 3 Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit [through factional motives, or strife], but with [an attitude of] humility [being neither arrogant nor self-righteous], regard others as more important than yourselves. 4 Do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. 5 Have this same attitude in yourselves which was in Christ Jesus [look to Him as your example in selfless humility
These are just a few characteristics of accepting Jesus Christ as Lord - others include Walking in Obedience and Peace and much more just allow God to lead guide and he will show you the way every day
Amen
Walk good in Christ
Till we meet again
