I Choose To Give Thanks

As we prepare ourselves for 2023 can we take some time to give God thanks? Can we just stop everything and thank Him for all He has taken us through in 2022? “Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name,” 1 Chronicles 29:13.

I choose to give thanks! I choose to give God thanks for everything He is about to do this year. For all the times He will save and give me the strength to overcome the fiery trials, the fiery darts, the tempestuous winds, every viper that wants to fasten itself to my hand. I thank Him for every premature death, poverty, every sickness that satan wants to inflict me with, I will give you thanks for taking me through. 1 Thessalonians 5:18, “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

David recognized in 1 Chronicles 29, that everything on earth belongs to God. “Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty; for all that is in the Heaven, and in the earth is thine; thine is the Kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come from thee….,” vs. 11-12.

So, this year in the midst of everything, I purpose in my heart to give God thanks. Saints of God, I implore you this day to do the same.
