Happy New Year (He crowns our year with goodness)

My dear friends Happy New Year!

When we reflect on 2025 God took us through much. It was certainly a year where God built us up, strengthened us. He caused us to overcome much and led us into Victory again and again. We inherited greater levels of the anointing and walked in greater dimensions of the miraculous

What a wonderful thing to end our year with God and to step into this New Beginning of a New Year with him. Imagine this he is already there in our future AND he has already cleared the way ahead for us.

Psalm 65

1 To You belongs silence [the submissive wonder of reverence], and [it bursts into] praise in Zion, O God;

And to You the vow shall be performed.

2 O You who hear prayer,

To You all mankind comes.

3 Wickedness and guilt prevail against me;

Yet as for our transgressions,

You forgive them [removing them from Your sight].

4 Blessed is the one whom You choose and bring near

To dwell in Your courts.

We will be filled with the goodness of Your house,

Your holy temple.

5 By awesome and wondrous things You answer us in righteousness, O God of our salvation,

You who are the trust and hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest sea;

6 Who creates the mountains by His strength,

Being clothed with power,

7 Who stills the roaring of the seas,

The roaring of their waves,

And the tumult of the peoples,

8 So they who dwell at the ends of the earth stand in awe of Your signs [the evidence of Your presence].

You make the dawn and the sunset shout for joy.

9 You visit the earth and make it overflow [with water];

You greatly enrich it;

The stream of God is full of water;

You provide their grain, when You have prepared the earth.

10 You water its furrows abundantly,

You smooth its ridges;

You soften it with showers,

You bless its growth.

11 You crown the year with Your bounty,

And Your paths overflow.

12 The pastures of the wilderness drip [with dew],

And the hills are encircled with joy.

13 The meadows are clothed with flocks

And the valleys are covered with grain;

They shout for joy and they sing

HE CROWNS OUR YEAR WITH GOODNESS (verse 11) the Amplified translation uses the word bounty

In Jamaica we would say - wid nuff niceness...lol

As I began to reflect on these verses the first thing I thought about is the time frame - our YEAR - not just one day or month or a season, but our whole YEAR is crowned with God's goodness.

Yes our daily portion is goodness and mercy (Psalm 23:6)

Let us think carefully - even on our worst day - we are truly blessed, because we know (Hebrew word for know is yada which indicates intimacy) God and we have relationship with him. He keeps and cares for us well, even in the midst of trials and troubles. Hallelujah!

Now this was my greatest reflection on these verses - he crowns!

Here is the meaning of crowns

the original thought in the Hebrew word, as in the Greek στέφω, is probably to encompass. Comp. the Latin corono in Lucretius, 2:802—

“Sylva coronat aquas ingens nemus omne.”

All “the circle of the golden year” had been attended by Divine goodness. The meaning seems to be that God had made a year which was naturally prosperous still more abundant.

So dear brothers and sisters - what do we expect this year?

Goodness involved with GODness

Even when it doesn't look that way - we have proved God to be a faithful Abbah Father again and again and again, so we will be unmoved, as we are assured God will turn everything around in our lives to reflect - his goodness

Goodness is a natural attribute from God reflecting his benevolence! Once he touches a life, he imparts goodness. He never leaves one the same. What a lovingkind God!
