Hallelujah!

Dearly beloved

The motivation for this message came from our daily midnight prayer meeting, last night Celine led off in Prayer....she started of with the theme Hallelujah and repeatedly Praised with Hallelujah, what a sweet sound unto the Lord.

Dearly beloved

There are so many ways to Praise God - Hallelujah resounds with all glory to God.

Thanksgiving, Praise and Worship flows, not because of something good God has done for us, but we simply do because of who he is and he is truly worthy of our best Praise and Worship! Hallelujah!

I began to research carefully though and found there is no scriptural support for Hallelujah being the highest praise.

Here is what I found:

The term hallelujah, which means "praise the Lord" is derived from the Hebrew words "hallelu" (praise) and "Yah" (a shortened form of YHWH, the name of God). The word appears mainly in the Book of Psalms and in the New Testament book of Revelation

In the Hebrew Bible the word praise in each verse is hal·lū·hū (translated to hallelujah).

Imagine this too

HalleluYah is a pure Hebrew word and yet it is found in almost every language under the sun. The first part of the word, “hallelu,” means “praise” or “praise ye.” The last part, “Yah,” is the Name of the One being praised.

Yahweh is the personal Name of the Heavenly Father. Yah is the basic or short form of the Heavenly Father’s Name

As I began to meditate and listen to the Lord carefully I began to see how much of a privilege it is to have the freedom to praise and worship God, to lift our hands and shout Hallelujah wherever we may find ourselves and whenever we choose. Hallelujah!

Let us pray for the persecuted Christians all over the world. Even as I read of someone in Pakistan who was beaten and scourged by 40 townsmen because he had chosen to proclaim Christ. The picture deeply touched my heart as the man was bleeding profusely from the beating, it just stirred me though to appreciate my standing of freedom in Christ. I opened my mouth widely with Praise - Hallelujah!

Let us be motivated to spread the gospel to as many who God causes to cross our paths as we know we are in the end-times and things can change so quickly. So many testimonies in recent times of individuals who accepted Christ and in the next breath, they were gone.

We ask God to give us the grace, strength and empowerment to effectively build the Kingdom.

As we go today, let us go with a Hallelujah!

Amen

Walk good in Christ

Till we meet again

Pastor J
