God's grace keeps us

Good morning Beloved

As we walk through the fire what keeps us?

God's amazing Grace

2 Corinthians 12:9: ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness

What is grace?

There are 131 uses of grace

In the ESV — 124 in the New Testament, 86 of which are from the apostle Paul, which means two-thirds of all the uses of the word grace in the Bible are in one author: Paul. No wonder he’s called “the apostle of grace.

God's grace is his undeserved extension of love, blessing and restoration for mankind.

This grace brings man into God's redemptive plan by giving us practical help to "bear up" in our times of need and to live Victoriously even when challenged.

We need to receive the fullness of his love grace and mercy, to be held in his warm embrace every moment that we live.

The gap between where you are and where God is calling you is WHERE GRACE WORKS (Marcel Bruff)

There are different types of Grace

The Core Types of Grace

• Saving Grace: The free gift of forgiveness and eternal life that brings a person into a relationship with God, received through faith.

• Sanctifying Grace: The ongoing divine help that empowers you to grow spiritually, resist temptation, and live a life aligned with God's purpose.

• Sustaining Grace: The divine strength and comfort provided during times of suffering, trial, or weakness.

• Serving Grace: The specific spiritual gifts and abilities God gives to help and serve others.

This is how God's grace operates in our life

• 2 Corinthians 9:8: “God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.” Now, that seems to picture grace as a power or an influence for obedience.

• 2 Corinthians 12:9: Jesus says to Paul, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

• 1 Corinthians 15:10: “By the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder [that was the effect of grace] than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.”

Grace works in us to empower us to fulfill the calling on our life, to "weather" suffering and to walk in obedience

We expound a bit more in the following text on God's sustaining grace.

Here is an adaptation

God’s sustaining grace is the divine, unmerited strength that holds believers through life’s hardships. Rather than instantly removing trials, it provides the endurance, peace, and spiritual power needed to navigate suffering, resist temptation, and remain faithful in every season

It is not an automatic shield from pain, but rather the strength to press on through it. It grants the fortitude to take one step forward when the burden feels too heavy to

It keeps believers relying on God daily rather than on their own limited willpower or

It is a sovereign grace that overcomes obstacles and preserves a person's faith so they do not succumb to total despair

Amen
