God is in Control by Marcel and Jacqueline Bruff

Our world often seems to be spinning out of control with natural disasters such as hurricanes, Famines, earthquakes and wildfires, not to mention the countless manmade calamities such as wars, and political corruption. Then there are the choices we make in life, some which greatly alter the course of our lives, perhaps tragically. The “what ifs” are endless and open doors to wonder if God is in control.

The Bible teaches that God’s sovereignty is an essential aspect of who he is, that he has supreme authority and absolute power over all things.

“I know that You can do all things, And that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted.

Job 42:1-3

This is a reminder that no matter what you are going through or what you see around you God is still in control.

"Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure"

Isaiah 46:9-10

God is Omnipotent, which means he is unlimited in power, unrivalled in majesty, and not thwarted by anything outside Himself, our God is in complete control of all circumstances, causing or allowing them for His own good purposes and plans to be fulfilled exactly as He has foreordained.

God is Omniscient which means he is all-powerful and God has supreme power and has no limitations.

May these words strengthen your faith as you continue to trust God completely.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose. Romans: 8. 28.

Heavenly Father, we give You thanks for the fact that You are all powerful and in absolute control of this world nothing nor no one can stop or thwart your plans. We thank You that we can be confident that You are in control of every area of our lives. You are the Alpha and Omega, the author and finisher of our faith, Lord, as we surrender every aspect of our lives to You, may we never doubt that You are in control and that you are working out everything for our good.
