Good morning beloved
When God speaks of us what will he say?
Of Abraham - God called him righteous even though he did not undertake the rite of circumcision. He was imputed righteousness because of his faith - God considered Abraham faithful Romans 4 AND
He called him his friend James 2:23
Of Job - God said:
Job 1:8
And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil
Of Moses - God said:
Genesis 6:8 - 9
8 But Noah found favor and grace in the eyes of the Lord.
9 These are the records of the generations (family history) of Noah. Noah was a righteous man [one who was just and had right standing with God], blameless in his [evil] generation; Noah walked (lived) [in habitual fellowship] with God.
Let us humbly bow before the Lord God Almighty and ask him to give us the grace to live the set-apart life, he called us into. This is a different kind of season. God is calling us into greater consecration. We cannot represent him in all truth if we do not choose to walk in holiness and live for God with all wholeheartedness......there can be no "halfway" there.
He is a Holy God and to be effective in Kingdom building, we must live according to God's standards. The great Patriachs mentioned above - lived for God wholeheartedly and was consumed with a great passion to do all God required.
We must come from the place of lack of knowledge, everyone of us are required to
1. Repent of known and UNKNOWN sins
As Spurgeon states repentance is an ongoing process
"Repentance grows as faith grows. Do not make any mistake about it; repentance is not a thing of days and weeks, a temporary penance to be got over as fast as possible! No; it is the grace of a lifetime, like faith itself. God's little children repent, and so do the young men and the fathers. Repentance is the inseparable companion of faith"
2. Submit daily to the process of transformation by the renewal of the mind
3. Present our bodies as living sacrifices...give up all for God
4.Ask God for the Spirits of Truth, The Reverential Fear of God and Obedience
5.Choose his perfect not permissive will
May our confession be like that of Paul - for me to live is Christ - we live, move and breathe in him.
I wonder if perhaps so many call his name but are not endowed with his power because of the lack of dedication, discipline and zeal for God.
We must move from the place of "visitation" to the place of "occupation" (indwelling of the Holy Spirit) and thus manifestation of God's power.
The absolute difference is not just to be called but to OBEY THE CALLING
This will mean being in some "uncomfortable" places of suffering for the sake of Christ at times.
Choose today Which God you will serve?
Will you serve the God of this world with the focus on Mammon and all the wordly pleasures or
Will you choose the straight and narrow pathway?
I cannot make it look "pretty" for you to entice you but I can assure you of this
Romans 8:28
And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose
God’s eternal plan is being worked out in our lives daily, much more than we can understand. Remember in this "light affliction" it is all producing a greater glory
God is calling you, even those things we view as limitations. God can use them for his glory and make a way where there seems to be no way.
God is calling you - Come up higher!
Amen
