Caution Curiosity by Marcel & Jacqueline Bruff

Caution Curiosity.

I realize some people have an appetite for hot gossip, curiosity and something more. This can lead to rejecting the established truth about Jesus Christ and the Bible?

Sometimes, people are driven by curiosity or a desire for something new and exciting. They might look for evidence that's not there or ignore the simple truth.

Sensationalism pushes the narrative as well.

When people have a preconceived notion or agenda, it can influence their seek and desire for other sources from the already established foundation of the truth of the Bible and Jesus Christ.

They might only look for things that rebel against what they already believe, ignoring or dismissing anything that contradicts these new teachings and heresy.

As the world becomes a global village, exposure to mystical, cultic, diabolical and cryptic forces from other sources with pervasively leak and seep in, to contaminate the purity of God's pristine-preserved paradise

It's essential to approach information prayerfully, ask God for wisdom, as intelligence alone has limitations. This means being open to the truth, even if it's not what we want to hear. The Bible reminds us in Deuteronomy 29:29 that "The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever."

Limited Knowledge

In 1 Corinthians 13:9-10, the apostle Paul writes, "For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears." This means that our understanding is limited, but when God's perfect plan is revealed, we'll see the full picture.

The Purpose of Scripture

In John 20:30-31, we read, "Jesus did many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name."

The Bible's purpose is to reveal Jesus Christ and the salvation He offers.

As we seek truth and understanding, let's be aware of our own biases and limitations. Let's approach information with humility and prayers, recognizing that our knowledge is limited. By doing so, we can grow in our understanding of God's truth and live according to His plan.

Key Takeaways

1. Recognize when you're looking for evidence that confirms what you already believe.

2. Approach information with a prayerful mind and a willingness to learn.

3. Trust God's revelation The Bible provides us with the truth we need to know, and we can trust its teachings.
