Behold all things become new by Minister Owen Mitchell

Behold all things are become new

In 2 Corinthians 5:17, the word of the Lord says, “therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” Have you experienced this newness?

The word behold is of utmost importance, it’s derived from the Greek word aorist meaning, to stop. It acts as an interjection and requires an action of, look at me, take notice, to see or gaze. It draws attention to this visible spiritual change; it prompts the readers to witness the transformation. This change cannot be hidden.

When we become a new creature in Christ Jesus, instantaneously we become new and this newness should not be hard to see. The old life of sin is gone; your perspectives have change. I liken it to a new car being driven off the lot for the first time. Everything about this car is brand spanking new. It even has a smell of newness. That’s who we have become in society, around our friends, our family and coworkers. It should cause people to stop and say, what is it about that person that make them look different?

This spiritual transformation doesn’t just affect you spiritually but morally. We are now in union with Christ, initiated by our God. The work of God’s power is now at work in our lives. True righteousness covers us individually, radically and inwardly. Our motivation becomes new, our desires new, our values new, our whole disposition becomes new. What a Mighty God we serve.

God Bless.
