Have you ever thought about this?
One little match struck in a large dark room, overtakes all the darkness. The room is considered to be lit and can no longer be described as being dark.
Imagine this too God's word in Matthew 5:14 Describes us as being the light of this world.
We have within us (once the Holy Spirit indwells us) the power to overcome darkness and influence the World with the light of Christ for the effect of God's eternal purposes.
So why are so many afraid of the dark?
The more we know God (not just know of him) in a deep intimate way, is the more we understand our positioning of authority.
We all will be confronted with fear at some point or another in our lifetime, but we must not yield to it. Perhaps we are afraid, because we are focusing on our past experiences instead of abiding in God's presence sheltered under his shadow (Psalm 91)?
When abiding in God's presence with consistent prayer, one is empowered by God. We become as bold as lions.
Proverbs 28:1
The wicked flee when no one pursues,
but the righteous are bold as a lion
I pray that you will abide in God's presence, that the Holy Spirit would indwell you, so that you may receive power from on high. I pray that you will begin to move out in faith as light and salt of this earth and that you would begin to influence so many with God's love. All for his glory
Amen
Even as I closed this message last night. I opened this morning to this message in the word. The will of the Lord is very clear. God is commissioning you to be the light. Go!
Isaiah 42:5 to 9
5Thus says God, the LORD,
who created the heavens and stretched them out,
who spread out the earth and what comes from it,
who gives breath to the people on it
and spirit to those who walk in it:
6“I am the LORD; I have called you in righteousness;
I will take you by the hand and keep you;
I will give you as a covenant for the people,
a light for the nations,
7to open the eyes that are blind,
to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon,
from the prison those who sit in darkness.
8I am the LORD; that is my name;
my glory I give to no other,
nor my praise to carved idols.
9Behold, the former things have come to pass,
and new things I now declare;
before they spring forth
I tell you of them.”

These were the promises speaking of Christ's coming
What glorious promises, each fulfilled in the ministry of Jesus! By extension, these promises also belong to us. Jesus prayed, As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world (John 17:18). We are sent as Jesus was sent and can receive these same promises as belonging to us
Amen
Walk Good in Christ
Till we meet again
