Always Blessed
Saints of God, I emphatically declare today that we are blessed. Irrespective of our socioeconomic status, living with much or lack, we are blessed.
In Genesis 12:2, Jesus said to Abraham, “and I will make of thee a great nation and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing.” We are all descendances of Abraham. My beloved, we are blessed. We are not just blessed but we are a blessing. Are we living it?
Being blessed is both a divine promise and a call to be a conduit of God’s blessings to others. The first two verses of Psalms 1 states, “blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate night and day. These verses emphasize the connection between our obedience to God’s law and the state of being blessed.
This speaks to the direct covenantal relationship we have with God. Being blessed reflects God’s goodness and His grace. Blessed, also materializes into praise which is evidenced in 1 Samuel 25, the story of David, Nabal and Abigail. In verse 32 and 33 after David’s encounter with Abigail, he praised God through his blessings.
Blessedness signifies God’s favor and love, resulting in joy, prosperity and well-being; spiritually and physically.
God Bless.
