The Weapons if our Warfare

Good morning Beloved
God has chosen to birth us for such a time as this. We are involved in a daily spiritual battle. The battle is both internal and external. In the end-times the battle seems to have intensified but we must remember at all times we fight on the winning side. The finished work at Calvary's cross assures us of VICTORY.
If experiencing extreme frustration or blockage we need to look deeply as there could be a Spiritually rooted problem
Here are some verses to enlighten us
2 Corinthians 10:3/4
The Apostle Paul speaks about Spiritual Warfare
NKJV
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not [a]carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds
AMP
3 For though we walk in the flesh [as mortal men], we are not carrying on our [spiritual] warfare according to the flesh and using the weapons of man. 4 The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses
The word carnal as translated by the Amplified translation here refers to physical weapons that are fleshly or human in nature.
Let's expound a bit more:
What are strongholds they are "fortresses" built in disobedience and opposition to the word of God established in lies and deception originating from the Kingdom of darkness. We are first defining the internal battle, so we can move out as "soldiers" to be effective for building the Kingdom of God.
The Greek word for "fortresses" or "strongholds" in the context of spiritual warfare (2 Corinthians 10:4) is ochurōma (ὀχύρωμα). It refers to a castle, citadel, or fortified prison, representing deeply entrenched thought patterns, ideologies, or attitudes that resist the knowledge of God and require divine power to destroy
Strongholds are controlled by demon Spirits (not the Holy Spirit). I had to add the clause not the Holy Spirit because some Christians think that once they are filled with the Holy Spirit they do not need deliverance. The word says we need to work out the salvation of our soul
Phillipians 2:12
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling
The Greek word for used here for salvation is soteria (\(\sigma \omega \tau \eta \rho \.{\iota }\alpha \), Strong's #G4991), which refers to rescue, safety, preservation, and liberation. It often implies a comprehensive salvation covering physical safety and spiritual redemption
This word for salvation is used interchangeably with deliverance and indicates an ongoing process.
Upon accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour our Spirit man is regenerated but whatever rested in our soul (which affects our will, emotions and thoughts) must be worked out over time as one takes ground from the enemy. At the time of salvation all curses need to be broken - Generational, Ancestral and Adamic also individuals need to be taken through renunciation and denunciation of contact with the Kingdom of Darkness.
If one was involved in the occult, the lodge, dedicated in any way in the bloodline to the Kingdom of darkness, so many other cases - one will need deliverance. Please note the enemy cannot possess a Christian as they belong to God. We must come into freedom for the truth of God’s word to occupy our innermost.
As the word dwells in us richly, then we will be strengthened and empowered for effective Spiritual warfare, otherwise the enemy will weary us with those "issues" (rejection, poverty, lack, shame, whatever it may be) that would block God's best from coming forth in our life.
A good book to read on the subject is
THEY SHALL EXPEL DEMONS BY DEREK PRINCE
Derek Prince is also available on YouTube.
Now back to Spiritual warfare and the weapons of our warfare.
What are the weapons of of our warfare?
To answer this question I would have to first make you aware that it is a Spiritual Battle
Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places
Not against Flesh and blood (that is the Physical individuals)but against Principalities, Powers, Rulers of the Darkness of this World and Spiritual Wickedness in high places - that represents different ranks and hierarchy of demon Spirits from the Kingdom of Darkness.
Satan is not omnipresent like the One True and Living, Almighty, All Powerful Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent God. He is the Sovereign Lord.
Satan therefore has to organise his army of wicked Spirits in groups, orders and ranks.
Now what does the enemy respond to?
THESE ARE THE WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE
- Commands given in the Name of Jesus
- The mention of the Blood of Jesus
- Praise and Worship
- The SPOKEN word of God
Jesus when he dealt with demon Spirits, he didn't fall to his knees and pray, he opened his mouth and commanded the Spirits with authority
- Binding and loosing.
- The consuming fire of the Living God
- Corporate agreement Prayer
- Fasting and Prayer
What fasting and prayer is not?
It is not forcing God's hand to do our desire and what we will instead it is a positioning to ask God what is your will Father?
It is a waiting in his presence for answers and strategy through Revelation Knowledge
I have learned this major strategy about Spiritual Warfare.
Stay in the centre of God's will, do not move until God says move. Listen carefully for instructions from our "Commander in Chief".
Many spend a lot of time speaking to the same demon Spirits over and over again because
1 They are using the carnal weapons and operating out of the emotions (soul dimension)
2 They are praying Defensive Prayers
3 God has to give you strategy you cannot use the same "formula" to win every battle
You can be using the "gun" (prayer) when "dynamite" (fasting and prayer) is needed.
I pray for wisdom, knowledge and understanding for you. I pray more discernment and God would empower you to be effective in Spiritual Warfare.
May you for every single day -
Walk good in Christ
Nuff love and blessings
Pastor J
