Set apart before Promotion

Good morning Beloved

When God is ready to elevate you, he will usually "set you apart".

The biblical example of this is the wilderness experience of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ

After Jesus’ baptism, “at once the Spirit sent him out into the wilderness, and he was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan” (Mark 1:12–13). Jesus’ experience teaches us some important facts: 1) it is not a sin to be tempted; 2) it is God’s will that times of testing come our way—Jesus was “full of the Holy Spirit” when He went into the wilderness (Luke 4:1); and 3) we are never without God’s grace—Jesus may have been “with the wild animals,” but “angels attended him,” too (Mark 1:13).

Dear friends please note this was a time of intense testing coming after Jesus had gone through a season of consecration - fasting 40 days and 40 nights.

This was also an "alone" time - there was no Mother Mary or Father Joseph. This was the time where God proved his heart and enabled him to overcome. This too came after Jesus had obeyed all his Father's instructions of fasting and water baptism.

Are you being tested, is your faith being stretched or are you walking through a wilderness experience?

You may feel alone, buffeted by the enemy, weary, you may even be asking yourself what have I done wrong now?

Take heart God is testing you to promote you.

Greater ministry and newer levels of the anointing is on the horizon.

God knows you will pass your test - he never made you for failure or prepared you and brought you this far without having a great plan ahead for you.

Just a reminder if God allows certain things in our life because we live in a fallen world (so certain things will "naturally" take it's course - as we inevitably experience sickness at some point in our life and will die one day, unless we are part of the rapture) then he will be glorified in all our life situations.

Here are some encouraging thoughts if walking through the wilderness, adversity or a test

1 THIS won't last forever

2 Remind yourself of ALL God has brought you through and how you benefitted from adversity

3 Keep your sight on the vision ahead

4 Depend on God totally for strength and grace

5 Use the word to address the enemy and speak to the circumstances.

You will come through shining like gold.

I thank God for grace, strength, provision, assurance and encouragement for you as you walk through.

Let us remember God's eternal plan -

Every single thing you're walking through is being used for a greater purpose

Romans 8:28/29 Amplified

28 And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. 29 For those whom He foreknew [and loved and chose beforehand], He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son [and ultimately share in His complete sanctification], so that He would be the firstborn [the most beloved and honored] among many believers
